Abstract

Direct, structural and cultural violence has been stressed within the social dynamic; this type of violence impedes the growth of the dialogue and the peace conflict resolution. In addition to this, the economic model imposed, communications, technology and western educational system have been favourable to increase inequality, injustice and decrease human development. Therefore, education has been looking for new ways to approach this type of violence and Peace Education emerges as an innovative alternative of learning in order to promote social progress and better standards of life. One of the relevant aspects of Peace Education is that it can adjust to different situations and it gives pedagogic solutions to the new global challenges.
