Abstract
Evaluation in education is a complex problem edemas, quite controversial, especially by different supervening changes in recent decades in the conceptions and practices. This article presents a discussion on the meaning of evaluating contrasted with the everyday life of educational institutions where their main purposes are changed is proposed.
