Resumen

Objetivo: Describir las investigaciones de creencias sobre conducta suicida publicadas entre 2012-2022. Métodos: Revisión sistemática según metodología PRISMA. Se utilizaron las bases de datos: SciELO, SCOPUS, Web of Science y PubMed; mediante una búsqueda avanzada con la ecuación «Creencias AND (suicidio OR Intento suicida)» y los años 2012-2022. Se utilizó Endnote x9 y los criterios de selección fueron: 1. artículos originales, 2. que aborden las creencias sobre conducta suicida. La información fue procesada en Atlas.ti 9. Resultados: Los documentos seleccionados fueron 11. Predominan los enfoques cuantitativos, con cuestionarios ad hoc y con diversidad de criterios sobre la operacionalización de la variable creencias de conducta suicida. Se constata que existe una asociación entre las creencias sobre conducta suicida y dichos comportamientos, mediada por variables sociodemográficas como edad, sexo, nivel educativo y creencias religiosas. La limitación del estudio estuvo en seleccionar un solo tipo artículo. Tampoco se pudo ejecutar un meta-análisis por la diversidad metodológica de los estudios revisados. Discusión: Las creencias sobre conducta suicida es una variable aplicada en estudios con predominio de enfoques descriptivos, que requiere de nuevas consideraciones teóricas y metodológicas para su profundización y aplicación en la prevención de este problema de salud.
