Depresión en pacientes con cardiopatía isquémica

Abstract

The Psychology from the late sixties of last century began an interesting process that has been involved in the study and care of health problems - disease. When we are engaged in the analysis of the major health problems of the Cuban population is impossible to stop thinking about cardiovascular problems and therefore in ischemic heart disease. Ischemic heart disease are a cause of great physical and emotional impact on people. After an event of this nature were generate great anxiety and fear danger posed by a recurrence and also with terminal consequences. The literature indicates that these patients in the depressive episodes are very frequent, which leads us to perform our work with the aim of identifying depressive symptoms in 80 patients diagnosed with this disease who were treated at the Hospital Universitario Provincial Surgical Clinic "Camilo Cienfuegos" Sancti - Spiritus. We used parallel diagnosis of depression Test Estrucutural four-dimensional Depression paramilitary enforcement personnel. The results suggest the presence of depressive symptoms associated with ischemic heart disease, all the dimensions involved and to a much greater extent in patients with acute episode that remain in the hospital, favoring the rehabilitation and integration into the community where rates of depression are lower.
