Abstract

Uterine angioleiomyoma is a rare benign tumor that may mimic an adnexal malignancy due to its clinical, imaging, and surgical features. We present the case of a 36-year-old woman with progressive abdominal distension, nausea, and hyporexia, initially diagnosed with a high-risk ovarian tumor. Two large solid-cystic uterine masses with serous content and adhesions to adjacent structures were found intraoperatively. The final diagnosis was angioleiomyoma. This case highlights the importance of considering this entity in the differential diagnosis of complex pelvic masses to avoid unnecessary radical oncologic procedures.
