Abstract

Jadassohn sebaceous or organoid nevus is a generally benign hamartomatous skin malformation, usually present at birth or shortly after, composed predominantly of sebaceous glands. It corresponds to 0.2% of dermatology consultations in pediatric age and constitutes a rare anomaly. Eventually, it is associated with neoplastic changes and other conditions such as intellectual disability, seizures, and genetic abnormalities. The case of a seven-year-old patient is described with a birth cutaneous lesion on the scalp with aesthetic involvement due to growth and alopecia, which generates symptoms that affect the emotional state and interpersonal relationships. It was surgically corrected.
