(Duazary 2009 I; 51-55)AbstractIt is well known that chronic medication with various drugs may cause gingival overgrowth. It has been reported that gingival overgrowth is induced by drugs such as calcium channel blockers and immunosuppressants. Nifedipine is most frequently reported to induce gingival overgrowth during long-term treatment of cardiovascular disorders such as hypertension and angina pectoris. A case of a 60 year old male patient with hypertension treated with nifedipine is presented. Electrosurgery treatment was performed; the evolution and prediction are favorable.Key Words: Nifedipine; Gingival Overgrowth; Calcium Cannel Blocker.
