Resumen
Está bien establecido que los estresores vitales durante la infancia, en particular el abuso sexual, se asocian a trastorno de ansiedad y trastorno de estrés postraumático; sin embargo, se cuenta con menor información sobre la relación entre las diferentes formas de abuso o maltrato y los trastornos de ansiedad incluidos actualmente en esta categoría por la Asociación Americana de Psiquiatría. Aquí se realizó una meta-revisión de la asociación entre estresores vitales durante la infancia (abuso emocional, abuso físico, abuso sexual y negligencia) y trastornos de ansiedad (trastorno de pánico, trastorno de ansiedad generalizada y trastorno de ansiedad social). Se llevó a cabo una meta-revisión de revisiones sistemáticas y meta-análisis que analizaron la asociación de estresores vitales durante la infancia y trastornos de ansiedad, publicadas en Medline entre enero del 2000 y junio de 2016. La calidad de las revisiones se valoró con el cuestionario AMSTAR. Se incluyeron tres trabajos que mostraron que los estresores vitales durante la infancia y los trastornos de ansiedad se asociaron significativamente: razones de oportunidad (OR) entre 2,0 y 3,0. Se concluyó que los estresores vitales durante la infancia incrementan el riesgo de trastornos de ansiedad. Se necesitan intervenciones para prevenir el maltrato infantil y así reducir la morbilidad relacionada.Citas
